Being a lady is tiring!

"You don't act like a lady",
"You don't talk like a lady",
"You don't eat like a lady",
"You don't sit like a lady"

These are the kinds of things we are faced with everyday. These are the kind of things we hear.
Of the 2 genders, society has placed so many responsibilities and has so many expectations of the everyday woman. Women are expected to be the epitome of all things right while its ok for a man to 'be a man' AKA 'do as he likes'.
Sometime ago, in the BBA house, 2 housemates were alleged to have had 'it' under the watching gaze of millions of eyes. While the lady was lambasted for being a 'whore', 'loose', a 'sl*t' etc. The man's only sin was that 'him no fine sef'. In as much as i don't - in any way- support what the young lady did, but it takes 2 you know.
Ladies are expected to be clean, neat and homely while its ok for a guy to be himself.
Where is it written that women are to be everything and role models while the men can do as they wish?
In my opinion, the society has far too many expectations of the regular woman and this has put lots of women under pressure.
These days, however, some have 'rebelled' coming all out to do as they wish just to break free of the shackles of what is expected of them.
All i have to say is Every human,irrespective of gender, has an obligation to his/herself and to the society to be all the can be, to do right at all times and to show decorum where it is required.
Women are not super humans, abeg!
